Your English speaking guide will pick you up from Seville and accompany you on the visit. It takes abut 35 minutes to drive to the Hacienda. Your tour will start in the olive groves where an expert will explain all about the different varieties of olives and the influence of soil types and climate. During your visit you will see where the oil is produced and learn why it is so important that all the right criteria is met: how they pick the olives, when they pick them, the temperatures at which the olives are pressed, quality control, storage etc. You will see how oil was produced previously with huge stone grinders often pulled by mules.
At the end of the tour there is a tasting session and you will find that the oil really does smell of fruits, tomatoes, pepper and other aromas, captured and bottled by adhering to such a refined and strict proccess. This family-run business really deserves all the numerous awards and accolades bestowed upon it.
